MICROBLADING AFTER CARE
Follow the guidelines below to achieve the best results possible from your microblading appointment.
No water for a minimum of two weeks
No makeup on the procedure area
No working out or engaging in activities that would cause sweating
No picking, peeling, or scratching the pigment
No sun exposure
Do not let face get wet in shower.
Wash face at the sink and avoid eyebrows (makeup wipes are easiest).
IMMEDIATELY AFTER PROCEDURE:
Blot brows with tissue (medium pressure) for the first hour to absorb any lymph fluid that may surface.
NIGHT OF PROCEDURE
Before bed, gently wash brows at the sink with antibacterial Dial soap and water.
Blot dry.
DAYS 2-14+:
Gently wash brows every morning with antibacterial soap and water. Blot dry with clean paper towels or hand towels.
Let air dry for two minutes before applying Aquaphor Healing Ointment (once per day is sufficient).
Peeling may begin a few days after receiving a tattoo. Some clients do not peel. This process can last up to 14 days or longer.
Once the peeling stage has finished, expect your brows to look exceptionally light. The pigment will darken as the skin continues to exfoliate (roughly another month).
You may resume normal activity and makeup application once the last flake has come off naturally. A touch up is required 8-12 weeks later.
Continued moisture is required on healed brows. Sunscreen is a must when outdoors.
ONCE HEALED:
Avoid anti-aging and exfoliating products such as retinols, glycolics, salicylic acid, benzoyl peroxide, and the like. This will cause premature fading.
Sunscreen! UV rays are a tattoo’s worst enemy. Keep the work covered with SPF and a hat. Sun exposure will cause fading and pigment discoloration.
Laser procedures such as hair removal or resurfacing will alter the pigment. Please inform your technician of any permanent cosmetics on your face and cover your work with a very thick layer of Vaseline or Band-Aids.
Keep hydrated and always apply a daily moisturizer to microbladed brows.
